    1. I'm really enjoying this series. Sam got to open her bakery and the treats she's making sound so good! She gets involved in two murders one a bakery customer and one that is involved with her break in properties that she is still under contract for. Good story and fun characters.

    2. Sweden's SweetsAn enjoyable read. Samantha finally has her own shop. But she is still working for USDA on defaulted home loans. While cleaning out a home things become a little complicated. Sam still has the box that Mrs. Martinez gave her before dying. And things go a little odd on her. A new friend, setting up shop, juggling a love life and two jobs. Let the fun begin.

    3. One of the better cozy-mysteries that I have read. The descriptions of all the sweet bakery items did lead to some cravings.

    4. In #2 of the series, Sam Sweet is on the brink of opening her bakery, but she's still filling orders from her home kitchen with her daughter's help while the finishing touches are completed: ovens delivered, facility cleaned, staff hired, etc. Her beau, Deputy Beau Cardwell, is still around, though between his busy schedule and her hectic pace, they see less and less of each other. Even with her bakery opening, Sam still takes on properties to prep through her contract with the USDA. When the th [...]

    5. In between filling bakery orders from her home kitchen and getting her new bakery ready to open, Samantha cleans out another abandoned home per her contract with the government. The discovery of a blood-soaked trench coat draws attention from Beau, the local deputy sheriff and Sam's boyfriend. A body found under a bridge appears to be a strange coincidence, or is it? Sam soon tries to link the evidence, and the powerful politicians running for office are more than happy to stifle Beau's investig [...]

    6. Sam is working hard to get her new pastry shop, Sweet's Sweets, open for business. The place is a hoarder's delight and Sam is feeling more than a little bit overwhelmed as she begins cleaning with a vengeance. When a blood-soaked garment turns up among some things Sam has dropped off at the thrift shop, Sam recommends that they call the Sheriff's office. 7. Can't stop reading.Th his second book in the Sweets Sweet series is just as good or better than the first. Th his time there are politicians involved. Things get measure and measure as election day approaches. There are lots of twists and turns in this book and you won't believe the outcome.

    8. Although this is the second book in the series, it is the first that I have read, and I found that you can read it without being confused about the story or characters. But it just made me want to go back and read the first story all the more! What an enjoyable mystery. Samantha is a strong and intelligent woman who has a bit of magical help. The story moved right along and really kept me involved and wanting to see more of what will happen. This well-written mystery has excellent characters tha [...]

    9. A little mysticism goes a long way to help Sam and Beau solve the crimes in this cozy mystery. I like that having Kelly around seems to be working out.

    10. This was definitely an all found five star book and I enjoyed it as much as I did the first book in the series. The main character Sam along with Boe the main supporting character are quickly becoming two of my favourite fictional characters. I am definitely enjoying this series so far far more by listening to it.

    11. A nice mystery about a lady who is setting up her bakery but also works cleaning up houses that have been taken back by the bank or mortgage companies, etc. While cleaning out a house she finds a blood soaked raincoat and contacts her boyfriend who is a deputy sheriff to help her.She has a box that seems to have some magical properties that help her out and she is still trying to interpret some of the things she sees. While trying to help solve the mystery of two supposed suicides she gets invol [...]

    12. I can't explain this at all, but my favorite part of these books is reading about her creating all the fancy pastries and cakes. It doesn't make me want them or anything, it's just fun to read about the creation. I'm weird, I know.

    13. Samantha is juggling her bakery business as she moves from a home-based baker who delivers the orders into a retail space where she can bake and sell her products with her job cleaning out abandoned homes. During this hectic time, she gets involved in a mystery when she finds a blood-stained coat in one of the houses she is cleaning. She gets enough energy to keep up with everything from some kind of magic box which must have been explained in the first book of the series. The box must have powe [...]

    14. I have enjoyed this series much more than I expected. As soon as I read the first one, I had to buy the other three.Intrigue and romance combined with a touch of magic make for an interesting second entry into the Samantha Sweets series. The magic? box is again influencing Sam's life. The gorgeous sheriff's deputy Beau has made his interest in abundantly clear. I love to see happiness touch the lives of characters to whom I have become attached. The maybe magic of the box or amazing luck, somethi [...]

    15. Samantha Sweet has opened her bakery as she continues to work for the USDA clearing abandoned properties. In this story A body trench coat is found at one of Samantha's properties, a dead private investigator, a politician's wife, a secret son and a sheriff up for re election is the focus of this mystery. Beau and Samantha search for the answers to how the bloody trench coat was found and how a dead private investigator was found thrown off a bridge and how it is connected to the current electio [...]

    16. The whole feel of this book is hectic. Samantha Sweet is opening her dream bakery shop while she still has the job where she breaks into houses (but might not after this book since she seems to forget to actually clean the hoarder's house -- that's one I'd sure run away from), tries to find time for her sheriff boyfriend, hugs her daughter in passing, keeps up with her friends, solves mysteries along the way, and seems to get very little sleep. Without a little magic in her life, I'm not sure sh [...]

    17. The main character, Samantha has an interesting job cleaning and tidying abandoned homes that the government or banks have foreclosed on.Two interesting ones come up on the same day, one leading to the murder to be solved, the other with a mystical or magical aspect which is brought up regularly but never explained or explored fully. I ended up wondering what the purpose of that aspect was. On the side, Sam is trying to build up a home business making cupcakes and cakes for parties and events. T [...]

    18. 265p Samantha Sweet is about to realize her dream of opening her pastry shop, Sweet's Sweets. Juggling the crazy amount of work to get her new business off the ground, with her old job of breaking into houses, she's got her hands full. When a blood-soaked garment is found among the discards at one of her properties, and a friend makes a shocking confession, Sam finds herself pulled into a pair of mysteries. The wooden box that came into her possession (in Sweet Masterpiece) is still working its m [...]

    19. Cracking book and well written. I really enjoyed this and it got me thinking and then a big twist came in at the end and it turned out half of what i thought was wrong. I also love how the stories are about real people with magical possessions rather than magical people and magical items. A real good cosy read that will keep you hooked x

    20. Sweet's Sweets was a good follow up to Sweet Masterpiece but I felt the murderer was very apparent early on. I enjoyed the bakery elements very much and would love to be able to whip up pastries like that. Alas I am not.

    21. A light hearted mystery and romance. She finally gets her shop. I like that she has her bakery and still does the cleaning of empty homes that are to be resold. Her relationship with her daughter improves. She seems so normal and realistic!

    22. The second book in this series is an interesting read. The character s have grown and developed personalities. More on the wooden box and on desert shop. Disappointed that the FDA work was down played as I like that part. I will read the rest of the series.

    23. Connie Shelton writes well, story is entertaining, fast moving. Has a set of enjoyable, believable characters with normal human desires! Well written working story, look forward to more! Plus I just fell in love with the title Sweet's Sweets, made sense to me!

    24. I liked this book more than I thought I would. It was in a collection of cozy mysteries made available inexpensively by one of those online ebook stores. There is a dash of magic added to a good mystery with solid and likeable characters.

    25. I loved this bookThe reason I loved this book, is because I usually read about serial killers and this series is lighthearted murder that is not so gorey. I love the bakery and can almost smell the chocolate and coffee. Shirley

    26. I'm enjoying this series. It fits that certain genre, but it is pretty entertaining and the characters are interesting. Will look for more by this author.

    27. A little magic, a little mystery and a lot of sweet bakery items! This was a good book, a few bad words, but kept my interest. Entertaining reading. LNoG

    28. I was kindly lent this book through booklending. I like my cozies quick and simple and this one fits the bill. This series has the added bonus of interesting characters.
