    2. 4.5 stars. Midnight Caller is an intense, dark romantic suspense thriller that explores the underworld of New Orleans and its fascination with vampire lore. While this is not a paranormal vampire romance story, it does explore in-depth how far society will go with this cultural fascination. And with all the mystery shrouding New Orleans about vampires, even the good guys are not always convinced that they aren’t real. It was a great read, with tight plotting and a realistic pacing that kept me [...]

    3. Typical romantic suspense, nothing special or different, too much stupidity, some things not answeredVIEWER’S OPINION:Readers who love romantic suspense (RS) may like this, but it was too ordinary for me - things that have been said and done before. There was no “wow” or surprise. There is a long, drawn out investigation with various clues, different things happening, and a major crisis/conflict at the end. It’s a complicated plot with some parts that needed to be tied in better. There a [...]

    4. 3.75 stars rounded upI found this book because of the "GR Recommendation" -- yes, apparently, that one still has positive side for me. I never heard about this author, but saw some positive reviews and decided to take the plunge to the unknown. My last 'good' romantic suspense was back in July 2012, more than a year ago, and I seriously needed to find a good one.And I did think this one was good. In the beginning, it was rather slow. I was also a bit bored and annoyed with a detailed description [...]

    5. Rating 3.5This was a pretty heavy and dark book and didn't make for an easy reading & I normally avoid these kind of books but this one was well written. The hero had a horrific childhood filled with unspeakable cruelties done at the hand of his cop father and now he's an FBI agent and a case has brought him back to his hometown. He hasn't dealt with the past and somehow his relationship with his siblings is awkward. The heroine is a therapist who does a radio show and she too has a chequered [...]

    6. Review: “Midnight Caller” cries out to be read in one sitting, without sleep, for the reader will be captivated and turning pages as quickly as possible. Rife with action, emotion, romance, stalking, control freaks, art, psychology, childhood abuse survivors, murders old and new, vampirism play and Goth settings; the French Quarters and environs of New Orleans, this romantic suspense has something for practically every reader to devour. FBI Special Ageny Trevor Rivette, in the Violent Crimes [...]

    7. This was a really good romantic suspense read for a NTM author. What I found refreshing about this book was that we open with our hero's POV. Devon is an FBI agent chasing a serial killer across the US. He ends up back in his hometown of New Orleans. But he has a hard time as his childhood was a nightmare of abuse that is coming back to haunt him. In his investigation, he ends up meeting Rain Sommers, a late night radio host and children's psychologist. As it turns out our killer has a little th [...]

    8. Midnight Caller (Leslie Tentler)Suspense/thriller/romance. Rain Sommers is a radio psychologist by night, and councils teens and children by day. She is somewhat of a celebrity in the French Quarter , New Orleans. Her mother Desiree , the late singing icon in this Gothic area was murdered at the hands of her father when he then killed himself.Trevor Rivette is an FBI agent also from New Orleans, somewhat estranged from his family and hiding from a troubled past. He is called back to his childhoo [...]

    9. An enjoyable read! Rain and Trevor have good chemistry and tragic pasts. There was a pretty constant high danger factor, and the writing had good flow for me. Trevor was a very tragic heroI guess I would have preferred that he didn't get his ass kickednstantly. At least it gave Rain the opportunity to come through in the end and save the dayHeading on to the next in the trilogy.

    10. This book loses two whole stars because the main character (Rain) should have died every other chapter. I'm not sure I've ever read about a stupider woman in my life. She was constantly disregarding all aspects of her safety and the wishes of those that would protect her. It was beyond ridiculous. And yes, I'm going to tell you all about it. I'll put it behind spoiler tags, just in case.(view spoiler)[First, her house is broken into by a methed-out guy. Lock jimmied, alarm turned off with the cod [...]

    11. Midnight Caller4 StarsLate-night radio psychologist, Rain Sommers, has a new fan - a sadistic serial killer who exsanguinates his victims and calls himself Dante. Targeting young women in the Goth community, Dante aka "The Vampire" is also obsessed with Rain’s mother, an iconic singer murdered long ago. Enter FBI Agent, Trevor Rivette, a man with a traumatic past that still haunts him to this day. Will Trevor and Rain be able to stop the deranged killer before he gets to them first? The New Orl [...]

    12. The first book in the Chasing Evil Trilogy by Leslie Tentler. Slightly heavier on the suspense but still a satisfying romance in my opinion. I always love a story with a gorgeous FBI agent hero. The heroine was a strong likable woman herself but both had a few minor issues in life that they managed to overcome.

    13. This was a great read. I love the fact that it took place in New Orleans. The characters were interesting and the storyline blew me away. It had a lot of twists and turns, which kept me turning pages! I will definitely be reading book 2.

    14. Wow. This book isn't as all what I thought it would be. From the summary of the story, I expected an urban fantasy. Instead, I got a mystery/thriller. It was pretty good, just nothing like I expected. Trevor is an FBI agent with a traumatic childhood. He has tracked a serial killer back to his hometown of New Orleans. Once home, he not only works to find the killer, dubbed the Vampire, but also to reconcile with the brother and sister he's been away from for so long. The hunt for the Vampire tur [...]

    15. This romantic suspense novel is the debut book from new author Leslie Tentler. Late night talk show hose Rain Summers is the daughter of a murdered singer from New Orleans who is credited with being goth before goth was a trend. Special Agent Trevor Rivette is a native of New Orleans who left in his team and has spent the ensuing years trying to forget his childhood. Now he is back and dealing with a case that involves Rain, but may also be personal. As the case progresses, he finds that trying [...]

    16. Trevor har aldrig kunnat glömma sitt förflutna. Slagen, fosterhemmen,a lkolism, dödandet och drogerna.

    17. This was a good book. But I like a lot more excitement than just "good" when I'm reading a suspense. Dr Rain Sommers was a therapist with a late night radio talk show whose normal clientele were teenagers and young adults. But she started getting threatening calls from an older male identifying himself as "Dante." Enter the hot FBI Agent Trevor who has been on Dante's trail for a while. The story takes the readers into the world of "Goth" and also delves into both Rain and Trevor's troubled past [...]

    18. Midnight Caller is an excellent book. I really enjoyed the story that the author drew the reader into. Trevor and Rain are enjoyable characters that you really care about. I love how the author tells the reader a little at a time about the characters' past. The reader cannot wait to get to the end to know about the past stories as well as who the killer is. Who is the killer? You have to read to find out. Great start for Leslie Tentler. I cannot wait to read her new book when it comes out and mo [...]

    19. Very good book, the romance wasn't heavy and didn't overpower the story line of the killer stalking the heroine. The killer was very well done. I couldn't figure out who the killer was until the author actually came out and said it. If you like suspense books with really nasty psycho killers this is definitely for you. Even if your not really a romance fan(like me)you'll still like this book.

    20. Another fantastic debut author who has taken off! I am loving this book. It is incredibly well written and sucked me in almost from the first pages. The book is so good that in almost 2 days, I am already half way through it. I will def. be looking for the next book in the series that is scheduled to be released.

    21. This was a fabulous debut novel by Leslie Tentler. I was immediately drawn into the story and could not put the book down. The mystery was there throughout, and the love story had me intrigued. I didn't see the ending coming, just the way I like it! I look forward to reading more by this author, and hope I can see more of Rain and Trevor in the near future.

    22. Loved this book !!! Leslie Tentler wove this thriller with the right amount of suspense, characters, and twists that make for great reading. I like reading mysteries, and books in a series. Leslie Tentler has meet all of the right criteria to keep me coming back for more.

    23. 4.5 stars!Really enjoyed this one! Romantic suspense is my absolute favorite genre, and it's such a treat to find a new author I can devour. Leslie Tentler's writing was gritty and full of emotion, just the way I like them.

    24. Thought this was a very good book. I think the author put alot of thought into her characters. Can't wait to read the next.

    25. A Solid Romantic Suspense/Thriller DebutFBI Special Agent Trevor Rivette of the Violent Crimes Unit has been tracking The Vampire Killer for over a year as the trail of corpses stretches through five different cities. The latest victim brings Trevor back to the city of his youth, stirring the demons of his past even as he hunts for a nightmare in the present. In the sultry city of New Orleans a killer stalks the young Goth community, leaving blood-drained corpses and a widening swath of terror.P [...]

    26. Absolutely brilliant. I love the characters and their relationships with each other and the slow build up of tension throughout. Midnight caller has everything a great romantic thriller needs, the serial killer is believable and thoroughly creepy, the heroine is very likable and the fact she is a phycologist is very interesting and the side stories that come from her sessions adds to the overall storyline. Trever, ou hero is swoon worthy with his protectiveness, his ability to overcome his past [...]

    27. Character development was weak. The New Orleans-goth theme was kinda random but it was cohesive. Heroine was a bit Mary Jane for my tastes. Will try second to see if it gets better
